We've come a long way...
Frolic & Lark is becoming a reality, and we're excited to share the journey with you. What was once an empty space inside the historic Outpost Building is being transformed into a welcoming indoor play studio and licensed child care center designed specifically for local families.
When completed, the space will feature a custom climbing structure, a dedicated baby zone, open play areas, after-school care, drop-in toddler care, birthday parties, and special events. Every detail is being thoughtfully planned to create a place that feels safe, engaging, and inviting for children and the grown-ups who love them.
More than anything, Frolic & Lark is being built as a community space. A place where children can play with confidence, parents can make connections, and families can feel at home.
We're making progress every day, and we can't wait to share each milestone as we bring this dream to life. Thank you for following along and being part of the journey.

Hi, I'm Nicole!
I'm the founder of Frolic & Lark Play Studio and someone who cares deeply about creating spaces that bring people together.
After moving to Warrenton, I quickly fell in love with this community and the people who make it special. As I became more involved locally, I kept hearing the same things from families: there weren't enough places for children to play, connect, and simply be kids. There was also a growing need for flexible, reliable child care options that worked for real families and real schedules.
Frolic & Lark was born from those conversations.
My goal has always been to create more than just a business. I wanted to build a place where children feel welcome, families feel supported, and community happens naturally. A place where parents can meet a friend, children can make memories, and everyone feels like they belong.
When I'm not working on Frolic & Lark, you'll often find me involved in community projects around Warrenton. I currently serve as Chair of Spruce Up Warrenton and as Vice Chair of both the Warrenton Planning Commission and Urban Renewal Advisory Committee. Giving back to the community is something I care deeply about, and Frolic & Lark is an extension of that commitment.
This space has been years in the making, and every decision has been guided by one simple belief: play is for everyone.
